Camp Part 2

by Organik D’va

For those of read the first part of our Camp Restaurant entry (if not go read it! ;-) ) ok so for those of you who are still with me, you will understand when I say that I FINALLY got to eat at Camp Restaurant who recently opened on Crescent a few weeks ago.

My lovely co-pilot M♥ and I met up with one of the owners of the restaurant and had a great time. First, I must say that the decor for the restaurant is very well done. They called on the one and only interior designer Christian Belanger (look him up, he is fantastic!) to come up with a very cozy but yet trendy area to hang out this summer.

Ok I have to say, after exploring the menu, I still am not able to describe it! I figured that they wanted to keep the choice fairly simple and easy. I found out by the co-owner that they often use products from Quebec for their food so that is always a plus in my book! One thing I noticed about Supperclubs is that they often focus on the ‘club’ part and fail to pay attention the menu or more importantly, the quality of the food. Sometimes I wonder if some of them have a kitchen to fill people’s stomach before they start drinking at the bar.

I decided to keep an open mind so that it doesnt impair my judgement and I was all worth it! I picked the porc filet that was served with patatoes a la ‘dauphinoise’ and I absolutely loved it! It was soooo comforting and tasty! The way the potatoes were prepared in a very ‘home made’ feel and you can’t go wrong with that. M♥ had the salmon with a pineapple salsa and it was refreshing, but I liked mine better! :-)

After a great meal, you can step aside and enjoy a few drinks in the lounge area and dance the night away because like i mentionned Thursday, Friday, Saturday it closes at 3am! They have 4 to 8 system where the alcohol is doubled so you get twice as much for the same price! Camping has never been that much fun!!! ;-)

Camp (pronounced “Kan” in french) has a great and non-pretentious vibe that I like so I will definitely pass by this summer!

Enjoy the weather and use sunscreen!
