Solo, duo or group, Taza Flores is for you!
By M♥
I was recently on Parc St. looking for a place to sit back, eat a light meal and shelter me from soon-to-fall rain. After passing many a-restos, my girls and I stopped at tapas bar Taza Flores.
Needless to say, as a spontaneous choice, there was nothing to regret. Though each plate and servings are small, the quality of the food is remarquable. Try the lamb cigars with citrus sauce, delightful!
But what really charmed me while being there is the interior look of the space. I don’t know if there are other words I can think of to describe it but ‘EXOTIC’ and ‘CHARMING’ and ‘ECLECTIC’. It looks as if you’ve entered a eatery while roaming the little streets of Havana.
The music as well is quite eclectic, going from latin lounge to R&B to jazz… a must!
So if you want someone to take you to lunk or dinner… try Taza Flores. For cold or hot tapas, expect to pay from 5$-16$ and 6$-8$ for dessert. They have a small but notable wine list (red & white) and good cuban-inspired cocktails. I recommend it, especially on those hot sunny days… stay on the terrace. Then off-season… inside will take your breath away.
