I am not in a relationship right now and I want to get married! What to do!?   All I know is that my relationship status is not related to what I desire in life! It is all about PERCEPTION!!!  As long as I am setting my INTENTION!!!

I remember going to wedding events and being very bitter about it but today its a ‘new dawn, its a new day, its a new life for mmmeeeee and I AM feeeeling goooood’

We (the Paperplanes.ca) ladies were invited to the ‘Bridal Boudoir Affair’ at the Just For Laughs Museum on Sunday December 5th 2010.  I didnt know how to handle this event because keep in mind that certain days i do think of my singledom but Sunday morning came along and I was open and excited about the affair!

It started off a little slow with the presentations and the fashion show….Pieces were presentend by Marie Saint-Pierre, Betsey Johnson and Andy The Anh to name a few….

I was like a kid in a candy store that had to sit through a presentation on how they make the candies… i was thinking to myself  ‘Let’s go eat the candies already…who cares how they are made!!!??’ I must say that I did learn a thing or two. They were talking about trends and the different type of brides out there. Trends?! What is in style?! Certain brides go for dresses that are in style!?? What happens when you look back 20 years later!?

I was confused..and then I heard  ‘Alright it’s time to go downstairs to meet the vendors!!’ and the doors of heaven opened! WOW…..there was food, vendors trying to get our attention, entertaintment,drinks being poured, future brides roaming around…it was magical! I always believed that what makes a great party is the FOOD!!! That is how I got introduced to the Restaurant BICE.

Now that is a whole other article there! I have not organized a visit there yet but lets just say that I was blown away and can’t wait to meet the artists from Bice!

I figured it would be a great idea to talk about this wedding event because its that time of the year again where brides are planning for this summer! Bridal Boudoir was very well crafted! This event stands out because they suggest vendors who offer non-traditional ideas.  It is for the bride who wants an edgy and modern wedding day and who is not affraid of black!!!

So back to the Affair, there were no down times which is very impressive! Drinks were pouring and the food was served til the END. I know you probably wentt to a cocktail and you ended leaving to go eat somewhere else!!  This is why I applaud them for their generosity!  Maddy K and cie  understand the simple principles of life!  Give abundantly to receive abundantly!

I will definitely come back in a few weeks with tips and tricks on make-up and styles for your special day but if I can say one thing….Take the time to truly find the right setting for your wedding day!
