At this bar… we eat burgers

Review of the new Montreal burger joint that opened in “resto-ville” aka Crescent street, Burger Bar.

Finding the best in anything in this world is quite a task to undertake. One would need to experience the entirety of which it is to test out. When it comes to food, I’d rather put many on a pedestal so alternating between them is all but a joyride. That is how I go about burgers. Finding the best ones in the city and beyond.

Those who know me know that when I eat something utterly good, I hear angels sing. I get this hunch to close my eyes and the symphony starts resounding. When that happens, you know about it. It usually written down on blog post. Wanna know where I heard the latest burger-symphony?

Thanks again to social media, particularly Twitter, for discovering this new eatery (@burgerbarMTL) and blogger @mechant_mangeur, also on Twitter for a motivating tweet. We just really had to test this one out. And it common knowledge that we only talk of what we love, and Burger Bar makes that list.

There, my choice stopped on the Surf & Turf burger, decorated with a large tiger shrimp on top and the patty topped with grilled asparagus, grilled pineapples and spicy mayonnaise. Gerardine had the Wild Shroom burger topped with sautéed wild mushroom, caramelized onions, arugula and roasted garlic mayonnaise. Rare of the places to offer burgers where the patty itself is stand-alone flavorful. And it’s down-right juicy –  just the way it should be.

Another thing I want to mention is beside the burgers being divine, owners Morrie and Ari and their staff are friendly and seem to really love their job and working with each other. We thought we were going to stay there an hour at most, and ended up spending twice as more because of the good conversations and laughs, on topics that went beyond food! We definitely had an amazing time there, and as it is on our list of best burgers in the city, we’re bound to go back again and again, and so should you.

Make it your next burger-esque destination!!
